With the history of planting tea for over 2000 years, Vietnam is one of the largest and oldest tea-producing countries in the world. Green tea has been planted extensively throughout the North and Central Highlands of Vietnam. Green tea is very suitable for Vietnam’ soil and climate producing larger leaves in comparison to other tea plants well suited to produce fresh loose leaf teas with little additional processing. Vietnamese green tea is drunk everywhere, hot or cold, and is part of the tea drinking culture of Vietnam.
